To submit documents, start by **creating a root folder.** Then you can create subfolders or go straight to **creating the document type.** Once you have created the document type, you can **add as many documents** as you like.

When you submit documents, you will also have the option to **'generate a content bank'.** This automatism uses our technology to **segment your document and create content blanks.** The process can take more or less time, depending on the complexity of the document submitted.

***Note 📢:** Not all users will be allowed to upload documents. It will depend on the permissions your company sets.*

<summary><mark style="color:blue;">What is the difference between accessing the DMS within Legau?</mark></summary>

We know that finding knowledge stored in the document manager can often take a long time and generate a lot of frustration. Either because the search doesn't always give us what we want, or because we end up with a list of documents that we have to open individually and CTRL+F to see if they have what we need, ending up with multiple windows open and wasting time navigating between them.

In Legau, you can quickly activate all the knowledge you have in your document manager in a way that is fast and integrated into the workflow and \*\*without having to open a thousand and one documents and manage dozens of windows.

Just do a search using the terms (and filters) you want and you'll be **directed straight to the potentially relevant documents**.

You can immediately see if the content is relevant, access the knowledge directly and even open the document if you wish.

Whenever you want to search for an expression, **you should put the expression in quotation marks (" ") to get more targeted results.** You can also use theAND (add) and OR (alternative) operators so that the search takes into account more than one word or expression. For example, if I wanted to find a pre-emption clause in a share purchase contract, I could put: "pre-emption right" AND "shares".
